The honest answer is that a typical 3-bed local move in Meath, Cavan or Monaghan costs between €650 and €1,000. A nationwide move of the same house is usually €1,100 to €1,800. Below that, you're paying for a small flat or a man-and-a-van. Above that, you're either in a big house or adding packing.

What drives the price

  • Size of the home (the biggest factor by a distance)
  • Distance between the two addresses
  • Packing service: none, partial or full
  • Heavy or specialist items: piano, safe, gym equipment
  • Access: stairs, parking distance, lift use

Typical ranges for 2026

These ranges come from the jobs we've quoted in the last year, across Meath, Cavan and Monaghan, and nationwide. Yours will sit somewhere inside the band based on the factors above.

1-bed: €350 to €900. 2-bed: €450 to €1,200. 3-bed: €650 to €1,800. 4-bed: €900 to €2,500. 5-bed+: from €1,400.

How to avoid hidden extras

Get the quote in writing, with the inclusions listed. Ask if packing materials, mileage and insurance are included. Ask what happens if completion is delayed by a day. A reputable removals company will answer all three clearly.
